In winter, people often catch colds, and while there are many chemical and natural remedies available, we’d like to offer a few recipes that can help you avoid getting sick.
For a sore throat – Tea with honey and lemon is ideal. Vinegar is also very effective for killing bacteria.
For a cough – Cut a lemon, sprinkle it with salt and pepper, squeeze out the juice completely, and drink it.
For a runny nose – Drink plenty of fluids. This helps you breathe more easily. Exercise is also an effective method, as movement helps clear nasal passages.
For a headache – Eat a generous amount of almonds.
For nasal congestion – Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to 2 cups of warm distilled water and rinse your nasal passages.
For a high fever – Before bed, soak a pair of socks in cold water. Warm your feet with hot water, then put on the wet socks, followed by a pair of dry wool socks. This helps draw out the fever. Be sure to keep your feet covered with a blanket during this process.
