Air Japan is a Japanese airline that was launched in 2024 as a low-cost long-haul arm of ANA Group. Airline was initially founded in 1990 as a World Air Network and was operating on charter flights under ANA Airlines. It was renamed and relaunched as Air Japan in 2001 as a scheduled airline and in 2024 the airline was rebranded as a long-haul low-cost carrier.

Headquartered in Narita International Airport, Air Japan operates flights in 4 Asian countries. Air Japan destinations include Japan, Thailand, Singapore and South Korea. With Air Japan you can enjoy flights to the following airports:

Changi International Airport (Singapore)

Incheon International Airport (Seoul)

Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok)

Narita International Airport (Tokyo).

Tokyo to Bangkok flights are scheduled during six days of the week except for Tuesday. Flight duration between Suvarnabhumi and Narita international airports is 6h and 2m.

Flights from Tokyo to Singapore will be operated everyday except for Tuesday and Wednesday. Flight duration will be 7h and 20m.

Tokyo – Seoul flights are available five days in a week, exceptions are Monday and Friday. Flight duration between Narita and Incheon international airports is 2h and 30m.

The Airline operates on all routes with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Air Japan Check-in

Air Japan offers both online and airport check-in. If you want to skip the line at the airport and head directly to the security check when you arrive at the airport, then you should make online check-in. Air Japan online check-in opens 24 hours and ends 1 hour before the departure time. Don’t forget to have Home Print Boarding Pass or Mobile Boarding Pass with you.

You can check-in at the Auto Check-in Kiosk or at the airport counter up to three hours before the departure time.

Air Japan Baggage Allowance

Due to carry-on baggage rules, passengers can have up to two piece of hand luggage, including personal belongings. Maximum weight of each carry-on baggage is 7kg per person. Size for bags must be 55cm x 40cm x 25cm.

If the sizes and weights of the baggage, or number of pieces exceeds the limit, passengers should pay the baggage fee and check them in.

Check-in baggage fees apply from the first piece of baggage. After the purchase, you can’t cancel baggage or ask for refund. One passenger can purchase and check up to five pieces of baggage. The maximum weight of each piece shouldn’t exceed 23kg.

Passengers can also check-in sporting equipment for Air Japan flights. You have to purchase special baggage at least 24 hour prior to departure. This service applies to the following sporting equipment:

  • Bicycles
  • Golf
  • Skies
  • Snowboards
  • Surfboards.

Dimensions for sport pieces mustn’t exceed 250 cm and maximum weight should be 32kg.

Air Japan Fare Types

Air Japan offers three fair types: Simple, Standard and Selected.

Simple – it’s the simplest and cheapest fare type that don’t include the options of assigned seats and check-in baggage.

Standard – This fare type consist of the basic options of assigned seats and check-in baggage.

Selected – While assigned seats in the front section of the aircraft and check-in baggage options are included in this fare type, you can also enjoy special in-flight meals and other in-flight services.
